Wix Ecommerce Fees Explained
Wix does not charge a platform transaction fee on any ecommerce plan — a key advantage over Squarespace Business (3% fee) and Shopify when using third-party gateways (2% fee). Your only per-transaction cost is the Wix Payments processing fee: 2.9% + $0.30 on Business Basic, or 2.6% + $0.30 on Business Unlimited and VIP.
On a $40 order, the Business Basic fee is $1.46 (2.9% × $40 + $0.30). On Business Unlimited/VIP it drops to $1.34 (2.6% × $40 + $0.30). Neither plan adds an additional platform cut, which makes Wix one of the more transparent fee structures in the ecommerce platform market. Note that Wix Payments is the default processor; using third-party gateways such as Stripe or PayPal directly adds their own processing fees.
